Cocoanut Koala Can't Get in Till Monday

A Linden, when I called about another matter a few weeks ago, changed my security question for me, and he apparently put it in spelling it funny or something.

So I can't get this matter resolved until Monday, as I've used up my three attempts to guess at his spelling of it.

Cocoanut Cookie will be online instead, to help any customers who may need anything (assuming they read this), and to generally be a pain in the butt to everybody, since there's not much work I can do as Cookie, and that will irritate me no end.

You can get more than three attempts. Just get back to the page where they ask for the first and last name and you'll get another email with a link.

Took me a a few dozen attempts to guess mine

*LOL* Yeah, took me like damn near a dozen guesses to get mine.. especially with a question like 'what street did you grow up on' where you could answer literally a dozen different ways

- Elm Street
- Elm Street N
- Elm St.
- Elm St. N
- Elm
- etc.

For the people that entered their favorite pet or mother's maiden name, I hope to heck you didn't forget THAT answer.

It will be interesting to see what happens when people call on Monday since they publically stated they can't restore accounts without that info. Are they at least going to give you a hint?

When I clicked the link in the reset password email, I was told I didn't have a security question on file (not true...I'm not sure if it's possible to even set up an account without a security question).

Called the toll-free support number and got a recording that basically repeated the blog announcement, said no password support would be available till Monday, thanked me, and hung up

Called the direct number on the support page and got a real person. After confirming a few people on my Friends list so they knew it was me, they set up a security question for me (should probably change that soon) and I went through the reset password process again and was able to change my password and log in.

Try the direct number and explain what happened. As long as you're not trying to reset your password over the phone, you probably have a good shot at getting in.

Now this really is funny . . . there I am, trying to figure out all the ways the Linden could have mispelled my security answer, lolololol. Finally happened on it!
