I have only found one shop that has redirect to Amazons web site with shopping cart intact.......

SL really doesn't lend itself to being an e-commerce platform, but IIRC you could buy the virtual and real version of Play Money at the event with the author. _____________________

send someone to an outside link where they can buy the merch directly. Its alot less steps than going through and converting usd to L to purchse and then L to your currency.

I have seen one shop in SL that when you click on an object/book it directs your web browser to a web page where you can buy the book. Contact Owner Taly Fluffy to talk to her about it.

I know someone who will be using SL to promote a RL product very soon. I would add more to make this thread have an actual point but I'm not sure its my place to announce their plans.

There is a surf shop in Ebisu that links to the website to buy actual surf boards from him. I don't remember his name right now, but perhaps you could talk to him about doing it.

We've been using Second Life to sell real life products (books & magazines for now, more coming later) for almost a month now.
