If most are up for it, I would really love to attend a group meeting tonight so that we can discuss in person some concerns that some members have. It appears that the last meeting was in September and I think in light of the input about yesterday's event, a meeting would be a nice thing to have. I don't propose to put this on the event calendar, but I would be happy to get out the word to members who may not read the forums often if we do decide to have the meeting.

I will also be responding to some of the other threads here in our group forum when I get home from work. I honestly didn't realize so much had already been brought up for discussion in the forums. I have never received an IM from the group, and since none of my other groups ever use the group forums, I just pretty much forgot they were even here. That is my own fault though, and I will not fall so far behind again.

I do still think a face to face meeting would be appropriate at this time though. What do others think? :)

Proposed TIME: 7:30pm PST

Proposed MAIN Agenda Item: How to handle RL Political events and ideas in the Neualtengurg Project (wording may be unclear but it basically focuses around our discussion on the forums that started yesterday)

I think it is a great idea, Pen, and very much needed for this group.

Yes! I'll be there. Thank you so much for taking the initiative to do this. :)

Anything from 8:00 p.m. PST on works for me. If this is too late for those who live on the East Coast we could do something on Friday (I can meet at 6:00 pm PST on Friday). Edit: I just saw the proposed time of 6:30 p.m. PST. It's still a bit early for me (I work a long day). I could possibly make it at 7:30 p.m. PST today, if that works.

As long as we are meeting to discuss recent RL political activity in the city, I thought I'd bring up some other topics that might be of interest to the group:
  1. I plan to give an overview of the city's progress and compare it to the project plan.
  2. Beyond economics and politics our fundamental mission is to create a compelling destination for members of SL which beautifies and preserves the snow sims. In addition to what I think is a wonderful start on the architecture, I would like to discuss some additional events and objects that would help tie the city to the snow sims and create a unique experience. They are: hamster-ball races, branded limited-sim snowmobiles (and other vehicles), and animated skis.
  3. We should discuss when to implement the 4096 m^2 cap on all land contributions to limit individual influence and prevent difficulties if members leave the group.
  4. I'd like to discuss the model for artisan collaboration and give a report on how the beta version of the vendor is doing.
  5. Finally, I'd like to talk about the state of the city's economy and how it relates to payments to land-tier investors and taxation rates.

I can handle the 7:30pm this evening. I'm on the east coast but don't have to be up for work in the morning. If this time is out of the question for anyone, please let me know. I think if we can cover the main agenda item first, then those that need to get to bed can even if others want to discuss some of the items you brought up Ulrika (not saying those items are not important, just that I know most want to focus on the "urgent" issue at hand right now).

I'll edit the time to 7:30pm PST :)

IMs and Notecards detailing the meeting and location for this evening have now been sent out to all Neaualtenburg members. Even those of you who posted here (just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page).

Hope to see you this evening! :)

PS: If there is no objection, Billy Grace is very much interested in the group (and had been before this issue arose). He would like to attend the event as a bystander at the very least. I told him as long as there were no member objections that I did not see why he could not attend. If you feel he should not be there, please PM me here on the boards or IM me in world. Thank you!

The meeting went very well! Thank you to all that came and shared their thoughts. I will be posting a summary as well as the chat log (with the hi's and heehee's taken out :) ) hopefully by this evening. I apologize for not being able to do it yesterday.
